The MJW occurrence is located 6 kilometres south of Tenakihi Lakes approximately 59 kilometres northwest of the community of Germansen Landing.

The MJW showing area is underlain by monzonite of the Early Jurassic Hogem Plutonic Suite. Malachite and azurite staining with specularite, pyrite and possibly chalcopyrite occur in strongly fractured and locally silicified, dark green, chloritized and hornfelsed augite porphyry which is possibly a xenolithic raft of the Upper Triassic Plughat Mountain Formation (Takla Group). The mineralized zone is reported to be 10 by 7 metres in area. In 1991, a sample taken assayed 2.10 per cent copper (Open File 1992-11, Sheet 2, Map Number 26).

In 2014, Canasil Resources conducted a remote sensing survey over the Vega property covering approximately 11,407 hectares of surface area, consisting of 34 mineral tenures. The Vega property encompasses six occurrences: Pluto, 094C 019; Thane, 094C 020; Vega, 094C 021; MJW; Bottle, 094C 110; and Ten, 094C 134.
